Our Design Approach

Here’s the type of process you can expect to be part of when working with us

All our CVL programmes and leadership initiatives are flexible and tailored to align with the strategic and organisational needs of clients. Our design approach follows these four key themes:

1.     Discovery

Documentation review. We dive into data and relevant documents to make the most of what already exists.  At this point, we’re hunting out patterns and insights that highlight needs – both known and surprising.

Stakeholder interviews. We talk to people and use great questions and conversations to surface what matters most. This process helps bring the business problems and opportunities to life.

Appoint project team. Based on what we find, we put a delivery team together using a mix of your folks and ours, with the skills and experience to best deliver in a planned and seamless manner.

2.     Co-Design

Share and validate insights. Your team plus our team, in a room together, with a white board. This is our opportunity to share what we’ve found and test your response. Does it resonate? Are we on the right track?

Anchor to existing leadership frameworks and practices. Next, we look to build on any existing work your organisation has done. We are not fans of re-inventing the wheel. Instead, we like to up-cycle and build on existing foundations where they exist.

Develop detailed design and approach. Like the final part of a recipe, this is where we work with you to put all the ingredients together to bake up a design and approach that we believe will best deliver on your ambitious leadership agenda.

3.     Delivery

Develop implementation plan. We pull together a timeline for delivery and details on the logistics for implementation.

Design learning or process experiences. We design further ideas to bring the learning to life. We are constantly testing ourselves right up to delivery: what learning or process experiences might make this even more transformational?

Deliver. The magic takes place and we deliver the leadership experience.

 4.   Review

Design and delivery review. We ask people in the learning experience how they found it, and provide evaluations to help collate the feedback. This is our chance to test how things landed and to flex our approach where needed, to ensure we hit the mark.

Evaluate effectiveness. Ultimately, how did the full discover, co-design, and delivery process go? Here we ask questions and pause to reflect on the leadership journey to get a picture to evaluate and celebrate the effectiveness of the initiative and build on what we’ve learnt. This is the point where a bottle of bubbles is often shared. One of our favourite things is to celebrate the success of our clients.
